20 March, 2025: Police arrested one person with eight demand letters of the Socialist Revolutionary Party (SOREPA), Kangleipak, along with a list of 38 schools located in Bishnupur District on Wednesday from the Sandangkhong area under the jurisdiction of Kumbi Police Station.
According to the police, the arrested person is an active cadre of SOREPA, Kangleipak and was formerly a cadre of KCP (Taibanganba). He has been identified as Salam Brojen Singh (47) of Sagang Bazar Mamang Leikai, Bishnupur District. The arrested individual is said to be involved in extortion activities and threatening government officials.
