Feb 22, 2025: Manipur Police arrested six cadres of KCP (Ibungo Ngangom) and two active members of the G5 organization from two different locations on Saturday.
The arrest of six cadres of KCP (Ibungo Ngangom) was made at Koutruk Makha Leikai Church, under Lamsang Police Station, Imphal West District, while the two active members of the G5 organization were arrested near the community hall under Heingang Police Station, Imphal East District.
According to police, the arrested G5 members have been identified as Ningthoujam Yamba Singh (43) and Usham Netaji Singh (35), who are said to be involved in extorting money from trucks carrying sand at Sekmai, Irilbung, Koirengei, and Patsoi areas.
The six arrested KCP (IN) cadres have been identified as:
- Shirimayum Suraj Sharma @ Lion (24) of Khongman Zone-I
- Mutum Leishemba @ Pari (25) of Lamdeng Khunou
- Ningthoukhongjam Khedasana @ Naoba (29) of Lamsang Thongmaning
- Senjam Yaiphaba @ Malan (19) of Touthong Khunou, Lamsang
- Laishram Leishemba @ Malem (26) of Phumlou Mamang Leikai
- Laishram Kenedy @ Thouna (32) of Lamdeng Makha Leikai
