Feb. 15, 2025: Security forces arrested 04 (four) active members of KCP (Noyon) from Heirok Part-II Chingdompok area under Thoubal District on Friday.
The arrested persons have been identified as Laikhuram Sanatomba Singh @ Mani (22), Lourembam Suraj Singh @ Lamjingba (26), Thokchom Thoithoinganba Meitei @ Naocha (22), and Heikhrujam Ngongo @ Tondombam (34).
Meanwhile, protests also erupted yesterday in the area by womenfolk pertaining to the arrest.
According to the police, the persons nabbed are directly involved in kidnapping, extortion activities from the general public, government officials, petrol pumps, etc., from Thoubal District.
From their possession, the following items were seized:
- 07 (seven) mobile handsets with SIM cards
- 01 (one) sling bag (olive green in colour)
- 01 (one) four-wheeler
