Feb. 15, 2025: Altogether, 8 active members of KCP—4 from KCP (PWG) and 4 from KCP (Noyon)—have been landed in the police net from two different locations on Friday for their alleged involvement in extortion activities targeting the general public, government officials, and fuel outlets.
The police arrested 4 KCP (PWG) members from Khabeisoi 7 MR Gate near the auto-rickshaw parking under Heingang Police Station. The arrested individuals have been identified as Lanpoklakpam Sanathoi Meitei @ Kaoba (23), Sanabam Amitkumar Singh (40), Seram Prem Singh @ Bemsingh (49), and Md. Ithem (55).
Meanwhile, four other active members of KCP (Noyon) were nabbed from Heirok Part-II, Chingdompok area under Thoubal District. The arrested persons have been identified as Laikhuram Sanatomba Singh @ Mani (22), Lourembam Suraj Singh @ Lamjingba (26), Thokchom Thoithoinganba Meitei @ Naocha (22), and Heikhrujam Ngongo @ Tondombam (34).
