March 11, 2025 : In a proactive operation recently, Manipur Police successfully rescued two minor girls from different locations in Kakching and Thoubal districts.
The rescue operation, carried out under Kakching Police Station and Thoubal Police Station respectively, also led to the apprehension of two active cadres of RPF/PLA, identified as Moirangthem Romen Singh alias Phirepa (23) and Nongmaithem Mohendro Singh (54). These individuals were allegedly involved in recruiting minors into their organization.
The police seized a scooter and two mobile phones from their possession. The rescued girls were subsequently presented before the Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Thoubal, for necessary procedures.
