Porompat Police Station has sought public assistance in identifying an unknown male whose body was found today at around 11:45 am beneath the eastern side of Minuthong Bridge.
The deceased male is estimated to be around 35–40 years old, approximately 5’6” tall, of medium build with an elongated face, kulei-kuchu complexion, black short hair, and tattoos on his body. He was found wearing olive-green pants and a black shirt.
Following the discovery, a UD case under Section 194 BNSS was registered, and a police team, accompanied by the Mobile Forensic Unit, Imphal East, and an Executive Magistrate, retrieved the body.
The body has been deposited at the JNIMS mortuary for identification and further investigation.
Police have informed that if the body remains unclaimed by 1 pm on December 12, 2025, it will be disposed of as per procedure with approval from the competent authority.
