An unidentified dead body in an advanced state of decomposition was recovered on October 2 at around 8:20 am from the Thoubal river bank near Yairipok Khoirom Mathak Leikai.
The deceased, approximately 124 cm in height, was found wearing an orange woollen sweater with front buttons, a light-coloured sweater underneath, and a blue printed phanek mayeknaibi.
In a press release issued by the Officer-in-Charge, Yairipok Police Station, Thoubal District, it was stated that despite efforts, no relatives or individuals have come forward to claim the body. The unclaimed body will be disposed of on or before October 10, 2025, at 1:00 pm after obtaining permission from the competent authority.
