Pre-Recruitment Training Held to Boost Bishnupur Youth Aspirations

April 2, 2026 : In a bid to empower local youth and enhance their prospects of joining the armed forces, Assam Rifles has launched a comprehensive Pre-Recruitment Training (PRT) programme at Nambol Garrison in Bishnupur district from April 1, 2026.

The initiative aims to prepare candidates for recruitment as Agniveers in the Indian Armed Forces and as Constables in the Central Armed Police Forces. Currently, 10 local youths have enrolled in the free training programme, which combines physical conditioning with academic preparation.

The training module includes structured endurance runs, strength-building exercises, and regular medical check-ups. In addition, theory classes are being conducted by experienced instructors to guide aspirants through recruitment procedures. Trainees are also provided with a nutritious diet, including eggs and milk, to support their physical development.

During the inaugural session, officials and personnel of Assam Rifles interacted with the participants, emphasizing discipline, dedication, and the long-term benefits of a career in the armed forces, such as job security, medical facilities, and the honour of national service.

To motivate the trainees, a film highlighting the 100 per cent success rate of 25 candidates from last year’s batch was screened. The programme concluded with a group photograph, marking the formal beginning of the training.

Eligible candidates have been invited to join future training batches.
