Feb. 12, 2025: Venting anger and regrets over N. Biren Singh’s resignation and the internal tussle for the top position among BJP legislators in the midst of a critical conflict, womenfolk from various parts of Kumbi Assembly constituencies held a protest rally at Wangoo Naodakhong Makha Leikai playground in Bishnupur district of Manipur on Wednesday afternoon.
The protesters shouted, “The politics of Kuki-Narco terrorists is to disintegrate Manipur; we are against the CM’s resignation; safeguarding Manipur should come first rather than fighting for the CM post.”
The women protesters said they are all against those who work in cohorts with the Kuki to create turmoil and disintegrate Manipur, and the arrest of any village defense volunteer will not be accepted.
