The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved Puneet Kumar Goel (1991 batch AGMUT cadre IAS) as Manipur’s new Chief Secretary today, replacing Prashant Kumar Singh, who has now been appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes.
Prashant Kumar Singh, who belongs to the 1993 batch of the Manipur cadre, was appointed as Chief Secretary of Manipur in January this year, succeeding Vineet Joshi after he was elevated as Higher Education Secretary at the Centre.
