RASHTRIYA POSHAN MAAH 2025 was launched on Wednesday at Thoubal DC Complex. The program was organized by the District Program Officer (DPO), ICDS Cell, Thoubal.
Launching the program, Th. Romita Devi, DPO Thoubal, in her speech highlighted the importance of health, hygiene, and eating locally available vegetables. She said the campaign aims to contribute to a Suposhit Bharat (well-nourished India), aligning with the goal of Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0. It emphasizes community engagement, nutrition education, and technology like the Poshan Tracker for better governance.
The special launching program of Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 was attended by CDPO Lilong L. Aruna Devi, Chief Medical Officer Y. Nokul Singh, DPM Ch. Basanta Singh, Dr. Trusty District Family Welfare Officer, Okram Chitra, Special Programme Manager NCD, Supervisors, Inspectors, officials, and staff of ICDS Thoubal along with around 300 Anganwadi Workers of Thoubal ICDS Project.
It may be mentioned that Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 is being observed from 17th September 2025 to 16th October 2025 under the Department of Social Welfare, Manipur. The key areas for Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2025 include addressing obesity, mainstreaming, convergent action and digitization, Early Childhood Care & Education (ECCE), promotion of local food systems, and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF).
Various activities will be conducted during the month-long campaign, including awareness programs, nutrition camps, sensitization programs, health camps, and promotion of nutritious foods. A special rally of Anganwadi workers, helpers, and staff of ICDS was also held in connection with the launching program.
