Red Cross Extends Relief Aid to Multiple Flood Camps in Imphal East

As floodwaters continue to disrupt life across Imphal East, the Indian Red Cross Society, Imphal East District Branch, led by Chairman Nambram Amulkumar, has stepped up relief efforts by distributing essential supplies to several flood relief camps in the district.

Today, the district branch team reached out to flood-affected families taking shelter at various relief camps located in Heingang Panthoibi, Heingang Makha Leikai, Heingang Kangjeibung, Lairikyengbam Makha Leikai Ward No. 7, Khurai Heikru Makhong, Lairikyengbam Awang Leikai, Khomidon Girls Primary School, Khomidok Sorok Mapal, Khurai Thangjam Khunou, Netaji Memorial Club, Khurai Ningthoubung Leikai Peace Club, Madrasa Halimiya Madinia Khergao Sabal Leikai, Khongman Oriental Club, and Meira Club Bashikhong.

The Red Cross team provided hygiene kits, mosquito nets, and tarpaulin sheets to improve living conditions in the overcrowded relief shelters. A total of 500 hygiene kits, 300 mosquito nets, and 200 tarpaulin sheets were distributed during this phase of the relief operation.
