In a shocking incident, retired MPS Officer Akoijam Shantikumar was reportedly shot dead by his own nephew, Akoijam Kishan (25), today. According to initial reports, the former police officer sustained three bullet injuries to the upper chest, allegedly fired by Kishan during a sudden confrontation.
Moments after the attack, the accused is said to have turned the gun on himself, shooting himself in the head and dying on the spot.
The reason behind the tragedy remains unclear, and police are investigating the circumstances leading to the double death.
