Imphal: Jan 23 : In an effort to equip students with the knowledge and tools needed to contribute to cleanliness and sustainability efforts in their communities, a day-long Swachhta Students’ Camp was inaugurated on Thursday at RIMS, Imphal.
Speaking on the occasion, RIMS Director, Professor G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment. He called on the students to take an active role in addressing issues like plastic pollution and climate change.
He also expressed his confidence that the Swachhta Students’ Camp would offer students a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of environmental protection and foster a sense of responsibility towards the planet.
Organized by the Swachhta Action Plan 2024-25 committee, the inaugural ceremony also witnessed the presence of Professor N. Sanjib, Superintendent of RIMS, and Professor Y. Govindaraj, Nodal Officer of RIMS, among others.
