Raising the key concern of the prevailing situation in Manipur, the RPI (Athawale) National Secretary Maheshwar Thounaojam urged Manipur’s MPs to treat the upcoming Parliament session as imperatively important, keeping aside the party’s political agenda, for addressing the pressing key issues encountered by the people.
Addressing the media this afternoon at its party office in Imphal, Maheshwar said Manipur is still in a confusing state, and irrespective of the political party they belong to, the session should be treated as an important one for solving the issues of IDP returns and resettlement at their native homes, the free movement hurdles along the National Highways, and other key issues in the limited time availed during the session.
Mention may be made here that the Monsoon Session of Parliament is scheduled to commence on July 21, and there will be a total of 21 sittings of both Houses till August 21.
