March 13, 2025: The RPI Athawale Delhi Youth Wing has strongly condemned the ongoing political maneuvering between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress over the Manipur crisis, accusing both parties of turning Parliament into a “playground” for political games instead of addressing the real issues on the ground.
During a press conference held at the party office in Patel Chest, Delhi, Borish, the president of the Youth Wing, expressed deep dissatisfaction with the government’s inaction despite repeated assurances from Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding free passage on highways in the region. He questioned why the government had failed to implement Shah’s promises, particularly concerning the growing threat posed by Chin-Kuki insurgents.
Borish likened these insurgents to “Pakistani terrorists,” emphasizing that the government’s priority should be tackling the security threats in the region rather than engaging in political disputes. He asserted that the crisis in Manipur would persist unless decisive measures were taken against those obstructing the free movement of people in the state.
He further stressed that the restoration of peace in Manipur would only be possible through a strong crackdown on the terrorists responsible for escalating the unrest. According to Borish, these groups have been instrumental in blocking free passage, thereby worsening the crisis.
The RPI Athawale Youth Wing’s criticism adds to the growing concerns over the handling of the Manipur situation, as political tensions continue to mount with no concrete resolution in sight.
