JAN 4, 2025 (IMP): Applications have been invited for The Lamyanba Hijam Irabot Memorial Award to be conferred for the year 2026, according to a press release issued by Sorokhaibam Ojit, Convenor of the Lamyanba Hijam Irabot Memorial Award Committee.
The press note stated that the award will be presented to a group or association based in Manipur that has been continuously engaged in humanitarian service for the past five years or more, working selflessly for the welfare of people, especially those who are poor, distressed, and marginalised.
The selected group or association will be honoured with The Lamyanba Hijam Irabot Memorial Award for Humanitarian Service, which carries a cash prize of ₹1 lakh along with a memento. The award will be presented during an award ceremony to be held within this month.
Application forms will be available from January 5, with a form fee of ₹1,000. Only Manipur-based groups or associations with a minimum of five years of consistent humanitarian service are eligible to apply.
