RSS Felicitates Vir Chakra Awardee Squadron Leader Rizwan Malik in Imphal East

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Thursday felicitated Vir Chakra awardee Squadron Leader Rizwan Malik at his residence in Keikhu village, Imphal East. The Sangh praised his bravery during Operation Sindoor, calling him a “role model for the youth of Manipur and the entire nation.”

A delegation of senior RSS leaders, led by Kh. Rajen Singh, Karyawah of Assam Kshetra, and Dr. Sunil Mohanty, Prachar Pramukh of Assam Kshetra, met Rizwan and his family. Local community leaders and Rizwan’s father, Hafizuddin Malik, warmly welcomed the team.

Dr. Mohanty lauded Rizwan’s courage and dedication, saying his actions reflected the spirit of India’s Armed Forces, where “duty to the motherland always comes first.” He also highlighted the integrated nature of India’s defence system, where the Army, Navy, and Air Force work in synergy with political and diplomatic leadership.

The gathering recalled Keikhu’s long legacy of nationalism and bravery, from Colonel Shaukat Ali Malik of the INA to Niyamat Tulla, who fought in the Anglo-Manipur War. Rizwan’s achievement, they said, continues this proud tradition.

Responding to the felicitation, Rizwan dedicated the honour to his team, stressing that “nothing is possible without teamwork.” He also drew inspiration from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, calling him his role model, and reflected on the ethos of the Indian Army—discipline, honour, and humanity, even in the face of conflict.

RSS leaders further remembered BSF Constable Deepak Chingakham, another Vir Chakra recipient from Manipur, noting that both he and Rizwan symbolize the courage of Manipuri youth in defending the nation.

The RSS delegation concluded that Squadron Leader Rizwan Malik embodies the spirit of nationalism, sacrifice, and service, inspiring the next generation of Indians.
