Thoubal, Nov 22: Social Awareness and Media Authentic Junction (SAMAJ) Manipur celebrated its 10th anniversary on Saturday with a grand get-together programme at Heibong Makhong Public Ground in Kakching district.
The event was attended by SAMAJ Manipur Chief Advisor Riyajuddin Aribam, Advisor Md. Islamuddin, former Wabagai MLA Fajur Rahim, SAMAJ Manipur Chairman Md. Yahiya Khan, Advisor Mufti Wali Ahamed, former Pradhan of Hayel Hangoon GP Sikander Ali @ Achou, MPCC OBC Department Chairperson Sakir Ahmed, and SAMAJ Manipur Secretary Md. Najimuddin Khan, who took the dais as presidium members.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Advisor Riyajuddin Aribam said that SAMAJ Manipur will continue to work for the welfare of the people under its guiding values of “Excellence, Innovation and Service.” Since its inception, he said, the organisation has been committed to uplifting individuals from vulnerable backgrounds and safeguarding those facing discrimination. He also highlighted SAMAJ Manipur’s support to victims of rape and murder cases and its dedication to protecting the rights of the marginalized, while calling for innovation and collective service for the betterment of society.
Delivering the keynote speech, SAMAJ Manipur Secretary Najimuddin Khan said that since 2015 the organisation has been extending help to orphans, the needy, widows, the homeless, accident victims, and others in distress. He emphasized that the organisation’s activities are driven purely by collective contributions from its Admins and Members and clarified that SAMAJ Manipur has no affiliation with any political party.
As part of the concluding session, Appreciation Certificates were presented to Editors, Admins, and other contributors of SAMAJ Manipur in recognition of their dedication and service.
