This year’s edition of Manipur Sangai Festival 2025 came to an end on Sunday, with the closing ceremony being held at BOAT (Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre) in Imphal’s Palace Compound, showcasing the beautiful cultural mosaic through the dance and music of Manipur.
Different cultural events, performed by various cultural troupes, were showcased at the main event venue at BOAT in Imphal, attended by locals, visitors, and officials.
The festival was organised by the State Tourism Department after a hiatus of 3 years due to conflict in Manipur and saw fewer visitors compared with the 2022 edition, which recorded a footfall of 219,000. However, the musical event organised as a part of the festival and held at Khuman Lampak was packed with audiences, with British boy band Blue headlining the event.
