State Bank of India’s (SBI) Northeast Circle leadership called on Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan on Monday to present an update on the bank’s activities and priorities in the region.
Chief General Manager Prabhas Bose, accompanied by three senior officials, briefed the Governor on progress made under centrally sponsored schemes and SBI’s initiatives to deepen financial inclusion in the Northeast. The delegation also raised concerns over logistical and infrastructural hurdles in extending banking services to remote and difficult-to-reach areas.
Governor Bhalla commended SBI’s commitment to improving financial access and urged the bank to sustain its efforts in supporting inclusive growth and economic development across the state and the wider region.
