In a search operation carried out in the forest area of Maovom village under Churachandpur district of Manipur, security forces recovered 10 weapons, including a country-made AK rifle, a Sten Carbine, and a Lathod gun, along with live ammunition and other military gear hidden in the area.
The recovered items include one country-made AK rifle with magazine, one Lathod gun, four country-made pistols with magazines, three country-made single-barrel rifles, one country-made Sten Carbine, and four Pumpis of various sizes.
Additional items recovered include six rounds of 5.56mm live ammunition, six 5.56mm empty cases, one round of 7.62mm AK-47 live ammunition, nine 7.62mm empty cases, three live Pumpi rounds, six 12-gauge rounds, two 7.62mm BDR/SLR empty cases, and one empty case of Lathod ammunition.
The forces also recovered military gear, including one bulletproof jacket, one helmet, one Baofeng walkie-talkie set without antenna, and a pair of jungle boots.
