In two separate operations launched in different areas of the Kangpokpi district of Manipur, security forces recovered nearly 10 weapons, including SLR and INSAS rifles, along with ammunition and explosive items including hand grenades.
From Lungphou village and the Maohing village area of Kangpokpi, the security forces recovered an SLR rifle, a locally made .303 rifle with magazine, a locally made bolt action rifle, a 12 bore single barrel gun, a Pumpi, two 7.62 mm SLR empty magazines, 10 rounds of 7.62 mm live ammunition, and two live hand grenades without safety pins and chain levers.
From Makhom village and the adjoining Kangchup Chiru village area of Kangpokpi, the items recovered include two SLR rifles with two magazines, an INSAS rifle with one magazine, a 12 bore SBBL, a .22 rifle, two pump guns, and a long-range improvised mortar (Pumpi).
