March 25, 2025: In a search operation in and around the Maojang & Dampi Village area of Churachandpur District, security forces recovered five weapons, including one AK-47, a hand grenade, a pipe bomb, etc.
The recovered items include one AK-47 rifle with an empty magazine, one .303 rifle with an empty magazine, one 12-bore rifle with an empty magazine, one double-barrel rifle, one modified SKS rifle with an empty magazine, one modified long-range mortar/Pompi (4 feet), and one modified long-range mortar/Pompi (5 feet).
Explosives and other items include two No. 36 hand grenades, eleven 7.62 mm bullets, two .22 caliber bullets, three pipe bombs, two helmets, one BPJ cover, and one walkie-talkie (Baofeng). The said operation was carried out from the foothills of Dampi Ridge along Maojang & Dampi Village under Churachandpur Police Station, Churachandpur District.
