March 28, 2025: In a search operation carried out at some places in Imphal West, Jiribam, and Bishnupur districts of Manipur, the security forces have recovered a total of 12 weapons, including 5 INSAS rifles, 4 SLRs, 2 carbines, and one .303 rifle along with ammunition on Thursday.
From Langol Housing Complex Quarter No. TA/42 (which is a vacant quarter) in Imphal West District, the police recovered 2 SLRs with 2 magazines loaded with 20 rounds, 2 INSAS rifles, 2 magazines loaded with 20 rounds, 2 SMG carbines without magazines, 8 BP plates, 7 BP vests, 23 camouflage pants, 20 camouflage shirts, 16 camouflage caps, and 22 tactical waist belts.
From Chingdong Leikai of Jiribam District, the security forces recovered 3 INSAS rifles, 2 SLRs, 3 INSAS magazines, 2 SLR magazines, and 4 rifle ceilings. Meanwhile, from the hill range of the Haotak Awang Leikai area, under Kumbi-PS of Bishnupur District, the security forces recovered 1 .303 rifle, 1 .303 magazine, 16 rounds of .303 ammunition, 1 12-bore cartridge, 3 charger clips, and 1 pull-through.
