Security forces apprehended two individuals from Imphal East who were involved in smuggling and illegal sale of arms.
The arrested duo has been identified as Ningombam Abung Meitei alias Ibomcha (50) of Huidrom Awang Leikai, under Lamlai Police Station, Imphal East, who was arrested from Pourabi Hidumbi, and Ningthoujam Konungjao Meetei (33) of Keibi Khulen Makha Leikai, under Sagolmang Police Station, Imphal, who was arrested from his residence.
Police also seized one 9mm pistol with magazine, two live rounds of 9mm ammunition, one scooter (Vespa model), two mobile phones, and one Aadhaar card.
