April 09, 2025: Security forces collared one individual from a group that halts commercial trucks plying along the National Highway No. 2, purportedly for extortion, from the Kangpokpi district of Manipur on Wednesday.
The person has been identified as Lunminthang Guite (27) from the Khamenlok area of Saikul, and an amount of Rs 25,000 was also seized from him, while his associate, who took part in the activities, fled the area after seeing the security patrol near one PK Workshop, under Kangpokpi Police Station.
The incident was discovered while the patrol team was coming back from the Koubru Laikha area while they were on security patrol along the NH-02 between T Khullen and Koubru Laikha in Kangpokpi District.
