Security forces carried out extensive search operations and area domination exercises in the fringe and vulnerable areas across both hill and valley districts of Manipur as part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order.
To ensure the uninterrupted supply of essential goods, the movement of 267 vehicles along National Highway 2 (NH-2) and 60 vehicles along National Highway 37 (NH-37) was facilitated under strict security cover. Security convoys were deployed along sensitive stretches to guarantee the free and safe passage of vehicles transporting essential items.
In a further step to bolster security across the state, a total of 110 Nakas and checkpoints were established in various districts, covering both the hill and valley regions. During these operations, police personnel maintained vigilance, although no detentions were reported at any of the checkpoints.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, reiterating their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens and the smooth movement of essential commodities throughout the state.
