Feb 22, 2025: The security forces in Manipur have averted a possible danger after fishing out several IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) in an extensive search operation carried out in and around the vicinity of Maojang village, located near H. Munnom Village in the Tengnoupal District of Manipur.
The recovered IEDs include two 22-kg IEDs, one 7-kg IED, one 6-kg IED, and one 4-kg IED, all equipped with detonators. Authorities suspect the IEDs to be of an unstable nature, and a bomb disposal team promptly destroyed them at the site.
An FIR has been registered in connection with the incident, and further investigations are underway to ascertain the source and intended target of the explosives. Security agencies have intensified vigilance in the region to prevent any untoward incidents.
Authorities have urged the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activities to ensure the safety and stability of the region.
