Security Forces Nab KCP (Lalumba) and KYKL Members in Imphal Ops

Security forces in Manipur apprehended two active members of banned insurgent groups—KCP (Lalumba) and KYKL—in separate operations carried out in Imphal East and Imphal West districts.

The first arrest was made in Imphal East, where Wahengbam Ramananda Singh (50), a cadre of the KCP (Lalumba), was nabbed at the tri-junction of Laiharobam Leirak, Kontha Ahallup Makha Leikai, under Heingang Police Station. The operation led to the recovery of one 9mm pistol with magazine, six live rounds of 9mm ammunition, two .32 pistols with magazines, eight live rounds of .32 ammunition, and a mobile phone.

In a separate operation in Imphal West, Angom Ajoy Meitei (32), an active member of KYKL, was arrested from Phayeng village under Lamsang Police Station. Security personnel recovered one bulletproof jacket, a BP helmet, a military waist belt, a telescope, and a mobile phone from his possession.
