March 26, 2025: Security forces, with assistance from state police, have recovered arms, ammo, and explosive items along with combat fatigues in an operation carried out on the western side of Chingkhei Ching under Porompat Police Station in Imphal East district of Manipur on Wednesday.
The recovered items include 01 (one) 9mm pistol with magazine, 01 (one) automatic single-barrel gun, 03 (three) No. 36 hand grenades with 09 (nine) detonators, 01 (one) .303 LMG magazine, 144 (one hundred forty-four) rounds of 5.56mm live ammunition, 06 (six) rounds of .303 live ammunition, 03 (three) rounds of 9mm live ammunition, 02 (two) 5.56mm INSAS LMG magazines, and 01 (one) 5.56mm INSAS rifle magazine.
Other items recovered include 01 (one) radio wireless set, 02 (two) BP helmets, 02 (two) BP jackets, 10 (ten) anti-riot shells, 01 (one) blank cartridge, 01 (one) empty ammunition box, 05 (five) tube launchers, and 02 (two) sack bags.
