In a major security operation, security forces conducted extensive search and area domination exercises in the fringe and vulnerable areas of both hill and valley districts. During the operation at Saidan village under Churachandpur Police Station, a significant cache of arms and ammunition was recovered.
The recovered items include one .303 rifle with magazine, one 9 mm pistol, one modified carbine machine gun with magazine, one locally made single-barrel gun, one modified long-range 81 mm mortar, two locally made Pompi, one short-range tear smoke shell, and one long-range tear smoke shell. The recovery is part of ongoing efforts to curb illegal arms possession and strengthen public safety in the region.
