Imphal, May 11, 2025 — Security forces conducted extensive search and area domination operations in fringe and vulnerable areas across hill and valley districts. During an operation at Sajirok Turel Mapal under Patsoi Police Station in Imphal West District, a significant cache of arms and ammunition was recovered.
Items seized include: one 7.62 SLR with magazine, one modified .303 rifle (without magazine), one SBBL gun, two .22 rifles, one flare gun, three 9 mm pistols (two with magazines, one with an empty magazine), one No. 36 HE hand grenade (without detonator), a Baofeng handheld set, assorted ammunition (.303, 5.56 mm INSAS, 7.62 mm SLR, .22, 9 mm), two BP vests with plastic plates, three pairs of jungle boots, three white plastic bags, and one sack bag.
The operation aims to strengthen security and prevent unlawful activities in sensitive regions.
