Security forces intercepted four individuals with an unaccounted cash amount of ₹57,77,700 (Fifty Seven Lakhs Seventy Seven Thousand and Seven Hundred), suspected to be related to unknown insurgent groups, during routine checking at Phaikoh Outpost (MVCP) under Chassad PS, Kamjong district.
The intercepted four were travelling in a white colour car along with the cash suspected to be related to an insurgent group.
The arrested have been identified as Nengneihoi Khongsai (24) of Seijang, Senapati district; Mangminthang Haokip (29) of C Asian village, Senapati district; Mangjoithang Haokip (27) of Seijang village, Senapati district; and Lempu Khongsai (39) of Nengboi village, Kangpokpi district.
Further investigation has been launched after the arrest.
