20 March, 2025 : In an effort to maintain security in Yairipok, a joint team led by Gaurav Dogra, SDPO Yairipok, and N. Suresh Singh, OC Yairipok Police Station, assisted by personnel from the 105 Bn. BSF, executed a thorough search operation today.
During the operation conducted between 7:30 AM and 8:35 AM at Yairipok Gwarok Hill, security forces successfully recovered significant arms and ammunition.
The seizure included two 7.62 mm SLR rifles, identified by serial numbers No. 15286060 and No. T0835, each equipped with empty magazines. Additionally, 20 live .303 ammunition rounds were found meticulously wrapped in two gunny bags.
The recovery, executed at 7:56 AM following procedural protocols, has prompted the registration of a case for further investigation.
