March 8, 2026 : A special programme combining self-defence training and health awareness was organised at Battalion Headquarters Shangshak in Ukhrul District, Manipur. The initiative, conducted by Assam Rifles, aimed at equipping women and families with practical skills for safety and well-being while fostering stronger community ties.
The event witnessed the participation of over 70 individuals, including local women, Assam Rifles personnel, and their families. Trained instructors demonstrated simple yet effective self-defence techniques designed to build confidence and preparedness in everyday situations. Participants engaged in hands-on practice under expert guidance, gaining valuable skills to enhance their personal safety.
