Feb 27, 2025 : With the aim of expanding awareness and ensuring maximum enrollment under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT), a Sensitization Workshop was organized today at City Convention Centre, Imphal, by the State Health Agency, Manipur.
The workshop focused on strengthening beneficiary empowerment and streamlining hospital operations under both health insurance schemes. Experts from the State Health Agency, including Dr. Irengbam Bijeta Devi, Policy Manager; Rinsophy Chamroy, IEC Manager; Irengbam Michael, Data Support & IT Manager; and other key officials, shared insights on various aspects of the schemes. Discussions covered topics such as health insurance benefits, digital portals, treatment packages, and grievance redressal mechanisms.
Despite seven years of implementation since 2018, AB-PMJAY and CMHT are yet to achieve full saturation in terms of enrollment. The workshop, therefore, served as an essential initiative to bridge knowledge gaps and encourage wider participation among eligible beneficiaries.
Media persons, Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs), and representatives from the Implementation Support Agency also attended the workshop. An interactive session between participants and experts, along with a certificate distribution ceremony, marked the key highlights of the event.
