In a crackdown against contraband drugs, Security Forces posted in Jiribam intercepted a truck with 220 kg of ganja from FCP checkpoint in Jiribam. Meanwhile, State Police seized 168 gm of brown sugar from Behaiang Bus Station and arrested two persons in Churachandpur District of Manipur on Thursday.
The driver of the intercepted truck (bearing regn. no. MN01 8567), carrying ganja in Jiribam, has been identified as one SK Kaphunlung (43) of Khumji village, Noney district, who was arrested.
The duo arrested from Churachandpur with brown sugar has been identified as Hausuanlal Phiamphu (53) of Tonzang village, and his accomplice, Lamminlal Haokip (33) of Thongkholui village, who was arrested from near Khenjang village, Churachandpur district.
