The 5th State Shirui Lily Festival 2025 is set to make a triumphant return after a two-year hiatus, following the reported approval of Rs. 6.30 crores by the Executive Committee in a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary PK Singh.
The eagerly anticipated cultural extravaganza will commence on 20th May and conclude on 24th May 2025 in Ukhrul District.
During the committee’s deliberations at the Chief Secretary’s office, various sub-committees presented expenditure estimates totaling Rs. 9.5 crores. After meticulous review and thoughtful consideration, adjustments were made to ensure fiscal prudence without compromising the festival’s essence.
The festival’s highlight events include a grand opening ceremony at Shirui Village, the renowned ShiRock festivities at Bakshi Ground, and a vibrant cultural and closing ceremony at Ukhrul Headquarters.
