Jan. 30, 2025: As part of the year-long Silver Jubilee celebration of the Handicap Development Foundation, a special event was organized to distribute catheters and assess individuals with disabilities who may benefit from assistive devices.
The event took place at the foundation’s office in Lamdeng, Imphal West, with support from the Viklang Sahara Samiti, Delhi.
During the event, assessments were conducted to identify persons with disabilities (PWDs) who could benefit from various assistive devices such as wheelchairs, tricycles, crutches, hearing aids, CP chairs, walking sticks, and Minellhains.
The distribution of 36 such devices aimed to enhance the mobility and quality of life for PWDs in the region, aligning with the foundation’s mission to provide crucial support and aid to individuals in need.
Officials from the Viklang Sahara Samiti participated in the program and took stock of the foundation’s ongoing work.
