Singjamei AC MLA Yumnam Khemchand marked the 79th Independence Day at his residence in Singjamei Yumnam Leikai today. The event was attended by BJP State President Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi, BJP State General Secretary L. Deven, BJP State Vice President L. Meenabanta, along with BJP karyakartas, senior citizens, and members of local communities.
As part of the observance, MLA Yumnam Khemchand hoisted the national tricolour and led a Tiranga Yatra, which included a rally participated in by local residents and BJP workers. The event also featured a Guard of Honour from the CRPF, marking the occasion in line with national Independence Day traditions.
The celebration focused on flag hoisting and public participation, with attendees observing the national flag and taking part in the rally in keeping with the day’s patriotic significance.
