Soubam Ibopishak Singh formally assumed office as the Chairman of the Manipur Electricity Regulatory Commission (MnREC) following a swearing-in ceremony held today at the Darbar Hall of Lok Bhavan, Imphal. Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla administered the oath of office.
The ceremony was attended by MLAs, the Chief Secretary, the Security Advisor, and several senior government officials. The appointment marks a key development in the leadership of the state’s power regulatory body, which oversees electricity tariffs and regulatory functions in Manipur.
