In a solemn condolence message, Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata Singh expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Constable Deepak Chingakham of Yairipok Yambem, Imphal East district, who was martyred in the line of duty at the Kharkhola Border Outpost on May 10, 2025.
The young constable laid down his life in a drone attack originating from Pakistan, marking a tragic moment in the ongoing challenges faced by security personnel along the border.
Describing the slain constable as a true hero, the Speaker said, “He will always be remembered with pride and gratitude as a courageous Manipuri soldier who fought with dedication and selflessness for the nation.”
Offering his thoughts and prayers to the bereaved family, Satyabrata added, “May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his bravery continue to inspire generations of the nation to come.”
