State Govt to Reward 10 Lakh to Any Informant Leading to Rescue of Missing Mukesh

March 29, 2025: The State Government has announced a reward of Rs 10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakh) to any informant who provides credible information leading to the safe return of the missing 20-year-old boy from Imphal, Luwangthem Mukesh (20), son of L. Gyanendra Das of Keishampat Leimajam Leikai, Imphal West.

According to a statement from the Home Secretariat, a case was registered vide FIR No. 90(3)2025 IPS u/s 140(1)/142/3(5) BNS at Imphal Police Station in regard to the missing case.

Manipur Police, under the supervision of a senior-level officer, along with Assam Rifles and other security forces, have conducted joint operations for the search and rescue of the missing person in the vicinity of suspected areas in the districts of Bishnupur, Churachandpur, and Noney, as well as other parts of the state, utilizing advanced technical data analysis and intelligence gathering.

The State Government also urges citizens to come forward with any relevant information that could assist in the safe return of the missing person.
