In connection with the death of Md. Chesam Abdul Kadir (29), who went missing on June 11, the State Police arrested one Longjam Khaba Singh alias Boi (35), of Yumnam Huidrom Thiyam Leishangkhong, who had gone into hiding.
The arrested Longjam Khaba is said to be a commander of ‘Arambai Tenggol’, according to Manipur Police. The arrest was made yesterday late evening from a place at Mongsangei Makha Leikai Arubam Leikai near Puthiba Laibung Complex, Imphal West.
So far, the State Police have arrested altogether 10 individuals, of which 7 are ‘AT’ members.
It may be mentioned that Chesam Abdul Kadir, also known as Achouba (29), of Paobitek Mayai Leikai, went missing on June 11 from Paobitek Mayai Leikai in Imphal West District. His body was later found on June 17 in Samurou Naorem Nambulmapal by State Police.
