With five (5) total active COVID cases registered till 2 PM today, the State Health Directorate has instituted 19 specialized committees to oversee control and treatment measures in the state. The initiative is led by Director of Health Services, Dr. Chambo Gonmei, who will serve as the Team Leader.
The team will operate from a designated room within the Medical Directorate, functioning as the Team Working Office, and is expected to meet at least once daily or as directed by the Team Leader.
The State Technical and Expert Advisory Committee includes senior officials such as Dr. N. Hemantakumar, Director of Health and Family Welfare; Dr. Y. Premchandra Singh; and Dr. M. Vivekson, among others. It also comprises medical superintendents from JNIMS and RIMS, along with representatives from Pediatrics, Community Medicine, Psychiatry, Anesthesiology, and Forensic Medicine departments. The broad composition ensures a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to managing the current COVID situation.
