Nov 1, 2025: Imagine if the sky above us were an open canvas; then it would only be the artists who could make you lose yourself and find yourself again at the same time, through their pencil sketches and brush strokes, by turning it into a rare and exquisite piece of art. That similar kind of awe-struck feeling you get while looking at The Café Terrace at Night by Vincent Van Gogh, away from the hectic world of internet hysteria.
And here we are at the 2nd Street Art Exhibition! The three-day-long art exhibition at Imphal Art College, held with the theme “Street is Our Canvas”, is like a mini-jamboree of artistic expressions by the students of the college. The exhibition took off on 31st October 2025. From the moment one enters the gate, a wide array of paintings on both sides of the alley welcomes visitors towards the campus, which looks like an open-air gallery.
The exhibition showcases the artistic talents of the students, ranging from trending face painting on the spot to colorful anime characters, from watercolor paintings to oil works. Over a hundred paintings and other artworks are being displayed in the street art exhibition. Visitors and art lovers can also purchase them, and many artworks have already been sold during the festival.
