March 23, 2025 : The weekly cycling initiative, Sunday On Cycle, continued today with enthusiastic participation, reinforcing the message of fitness and active living.
Organised under the aegis of the Physical Education Foundation of India, Manipur Chapter, and SAI Takyel, the event was led by the Fit India Campaign Committee and Fit India Club, Manipur University.
Cyclists commenced the ride from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, Manipur University, and concluded at SAI, Takyel.
The rally saw the participation of students, faculty members, and fitness enthusiasts, all advocating the importance of regular physical activity.
Manipur University Vice-Chancellor Professor N. Lokendra, who flagged off the event, emphasised the necessity of fitness and the role of cycling in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
He encouraged the continuation of such initiatives to inspire more people to adopt cycling as a sustainable and health-friendly mode of transport.
Participants expressed their enthusiasm, stating that Sunday On Cycle has become a significant fitness movement in Manipur.
