One renowned novelist once said, “Suspense is achieved by information control: what you know, what the reader knows, and what the character knows,” and all the suspense surrounding the formation of a new popular government in Manipur will only be answered after the election and subsequent appointment of the BJP National President.
The BJP high command in Delhi has so far not made any discussion or decision on who will be the leader of the BJP legislative wing of Manipur. However, all the eyes and ears of the BJP central leadership are on Manipur and the progress being made towards restoring normalcy.
Before the Monsoon Session of Parliament on July 21, the BJP is likely to select and expected to announce its National President, and it has reportedly shortlisted five candidates. Among the shortlisted are Union Ministers Bhupendra Yadav, Dharmendra Pradhan, Prahlad Joshi, Nirmala Sitharaman, Vanathi Srinivasan, and BD Sharma.
Who will be the BJP National President is only left to be seen and watched, and the upcoming BJP National President is also expected to play a crucial role in choosing the leader of Manipur’s BJP legislative wing.
