Sweetest Thing: Talented Kids’ Performances on IDPD Observance Day Stole Millions of Hearts

On this day, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) observance, what stole the heart of many social-media revelers was a visual of a group dance performed by the cutest of cute kids from Manipur as a part of the observance held at City Convention (Ground Floor Gallery) in Imphal, organized by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) has been widely observed in the state, including at the district level, a day proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.

According to the United Nations, the theme of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” builds on the reaffirmed commitment of world leaders gathered at the Second World Summit for Social Development to build a more just, inclusive, equitable and sustainable world, and their understanding that advancing progress on social development depends on, and indeed necessitates, the inclusion of all segments of society.
